Everton have no new injuries but could makes changes after a run of one win in 10 Premier League matches.
Ross Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Enner Valencia are among those in contention for recalls.
Gabriel is likely to come into the Arsenal side in the absence of Shkodran Mustafi, who faces three weeks out with a hamstring injury suffered against Stoke on Saturday.
Aaron Ramsey remains sidelined with a similar problem.
Alistair Mann: “Had Everton not taken 13 points from their opening five games of the season, their current situation wouldn’t simply be viewed with concern but as a full-blown crisis.
“After the beginning of the Ronald Koeman era had seemed to provide the positive shunt Evertonians felt was essential, just one victory in their subsequent 10 matches has now led to the re-emergence of the same issues Blues supporters were frustrated about last season.
“On a 14-game unbeaten run, Arsenal’s demeanour couldn’t be a greater contrast. The Gunners haven’t lost an away game in any competition since March and that was at Barcelona!
“Everton can at least boast an unbeaten home record stretching back to the same month – however, the last visiting team to leave Goodison Park with three points was…Arsenal.”
Everton manager Ronald Koeman: “We need to win now. Every week there are several meetings about this [with the players].
“It’s all about commitment of players, bringing your quality to the team and that’s why we spoke together about how we can do it together to get a better run of results.
“But finally the answer is on the pitch, not between the four walls in a meeting room.
“Of course we will not win every game but one out of 10 is underperforming for everyone.”
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: “When you look at the teams around us, you can see that the margin of difference between the teams has shrunk a lot. So the way you respond in every single game is absolutely vital.
“What is for sure is at the moment every game is like a cup final for everybody. We just came out of a game where we were 1-0 down and for the sixth time in the season, we come back after having been down.
“So let’s continue to focus on that, on our resilience and on our motivation and after let’s see how far we can go.”
