Hamilton will be without midfielder Greg Docherty for around eight weeks after he broke a metatarsal bone in his foot against Rangers.
Grant Gillespie is suspended, with Gramoz Kurtaj, Lennard Sowah, Remi Matthews, Jesus Garcia Tena and Craig Watson all injured.
James Forrest returns to the Celtic squad after missing the last four matches with a hamstring problem.
Midfielder Tom Rogic and left-back Kieran Tierney have ankle injuries.
Hamilton manager Martin Canning: “Every game is different. It doesn’t matter whether we lost 5-0 or 1-0 in the last game, it’s a different 90 minutes.
“If you approach it thinking, ‘We did well the last time so that takes care of the next game’, then you are on to a hiding.
“You need to forget everything that happened in the past. Yeah, you can learn from it, but when you approach the game you need to make sure you are 100% at it physically and mentally.
“That was always going to be a big ask for us on Friday [when Hamilton lost 2-1 at home to Rangers], having put so much into the game on Tuesday [a 1-0 defeat at Celtic], whereas this week we have had a good week to prepare.
“And if we are 100% at it, then we have a chance of taking something from the game.”
Celtic midfielder Scott Brown: “You know how they are going to shape up against you but they might change a couple of things here and there.
“It’s on astroturf, so it’s a totally different game now for us. They train and play on it most weeks so they have the upper hand there.
“But at the end of the day it’s 11 versus 11 and we hope we’ll get the ball down and play better than we did last season, because we’ve struggled there in the last couple of seasons.”
